We didn’t get discouraged and decided 1987 that we will move on in the year 1988 with a new name and badges – the same members as 1983 but without Heinz and Doc.

Now with our new group name we didn’t have problems anymore. There was one group in Bavaria with the same name but in the meantime the group didn´t exist anymore.

Shortly after our new group foundation the president Harry died in a motorcycle accident. We all where terribly shocked and the group seemed to fall apart.
After a very important meeting in fall, where our member and now president “Reamy” developed a lot of power, we decided unanimous that we will continue and in spite of all what happened we won’t give up.

Within the next two years we got strengthen by another member with the name “Faxe”.
1991 another member joined the group – till now he was just rear seat passenger - but finally he did get the driver’s licence for motorcycles. In the old days we called him ”Berni the unforgettable”, today we call him the “road captain”.

Five of us travelled to some cyclemeetings in and outside the country. The yearly summer vacation always got planned together and took us all across Europe.
1993 our group enlarged to a participant number of six persons. Herb, a very active cyclist without a badge, roots from Styria and constantly at our meetings was taken with pleasure in our group. Because of different opinions at the Austriancyclists the groups in Salzburg got together even closer and the four groups of Salzburg downtown joined for their meetings.

1997 the old friend “Doc” - known from motorists and Thunderbirds already - was taken into our group as the 7th person.
September 1998 we started in spite of bad weather and problems with the authority our first cycle party “10 years of MC Promillos”.

Highlights and returning events

Daytona 1999

After we were saving money since years and dispensing lots of thing we decided to empty our savings to be able to visit the legendary Bike week in Daytona and to enrich it with our appearance.
So we started to the sunny Florida. Four days Bikes around the clock – of course only the best -“Harleys”. You could see the nicest and expensiest copies from all across the world.With serious ear problems we continued direction Key West. With sightseeing’s like Disneyland and Cape Caneveral, stopping at each Mc Donald’s because of our president and lots of Budweiser the time went by very fast. Unfortunately one member of our group got hurt seriously with the only shell we saw in the sea and so all of us had to take care of him.
Miami Beach with its breathtaking skyline: There we were discussing cultural comparisons between Ebenau and the States (thanks to Herb).
Unfortunately this dream went by way to fast, and with empty purses and lots of overweight we started our way back.

Halloween 99

To fill up our savings we had the wonderful idea to start a Halloween party, witch got famous in the meantime. Within the same year we could manage it to have the first one.
With friends we celebrated in the first year under the subject “ghost-time” – but of course our group was the party tiger number one. It will stay a mystery how we could manage everything so well after all the alcohol we were consuming.
Don’t forget: The presidents Chilli with read kidney beans! Some visitors were complaining about bad winds for days and some of them even had to stay off work.
But even with some troubles our party was very successful and from now on it should be a fix meeting each year.

“Coppa di Salzburgo”

To promote also the sportive part of our association we decided to arrange a bikers-soccer -match. The rules were easy because there weren’t any! Not even with the shoes – we played with everything what was similar to shoes. Since we were not enough players we had to create a membership with “MC Powerplutza”. Also we were able to get the south American guy El-Halek Wolfi for us.
Per game we played two times 10 minutes with a break. Soon we could recognise at each team professional effort and ambition.
Because of our good striker we were able to get the 3rd place (within six teams).
One guy of the Magic Riders got hurt and had to go to a hospital. The consummation of beer at our drinking place established a record.

Pula

In convoy with different groups we started to our bike-week to Pula in July 2001. There we met the “Biker of Darkness” and till now we have a deep relationship to each other. Nobody can remember the exact happenings but it was a big party and some members still share human relations. Andi even went without his shoes in spite of all the rocks and thorns. Probably he got resistant to all the pains.

Grilled pig

To grill a pig with friends an other cycle clubs got a tradition since 15 years of the MC Promillos. Record was 3 pigs and 60 fish for about 80 persons. Lots of young pigs had to give their lives. Our favourite place for this is the “Salachau”. In the meantime it got to be a special skill to spice, spear and then spin the pig for about 7 hours. I don’t know how many pigs had to give their lives, but all the members always loved the wonderful taste of the goodies what got prepared with lots of patience and love. Without exacerbating we have to say again that we have the best pigs under the sun!

Of course this is also a society event were you meet good friends and celebrate. And each one of us circled the fire late at night – mostly because of too much beer. Also the smoke of the fire got a problem for some (Doc). A special thank you we have to say to our Berni (Slatko) Daxer, since he is a master of the special skill of spearing. Also some honour to our president since he got even better: not just communicating to people – with lots of pressure we even could talk him into working.

Schurli

In the year 2003 our youngest guy Schurli got member of our club (in each case an enrichment).

Road Eagles

The flea market in Münich is a key event in our year. We visit it already since 12 years and in the meantime the trip got to a must.
Departure at 7.18 a.m. in Salzburg, at 7.25 Chapter Bayern in Freilassing joins us (its uncle Robert who lives in Freilassing). We have the first drinks and arrange our trip back on the train (last train a little bit before midnight – it never worked). After the arrival in Munich we have breakfast at the inn “Schneiderweiße” what consists of Bavarian white sausage and yeast beer – discussions if we visit the inn “”Heiligen-Geist-Stüberl” to have another drink.
We decide to visit the Christmas market and have some “Glühwein” (hot spiced wine) and afterwards we do visit the “Heiligen-Geist -Stüberl” for a short time. Darkness and battle songs of the 1860 team surround us. Departure to the flea market. Short roundtrip and afterwards we badly need a rest at a good place. Everybody would love a steak. Departing to the steak house where because of the warm room and the lots of things we had to do some of us really got tired. After the meal we started direction train station. This trip is one of our highlights. The process is always the same – but still each trip is special!

Sairach

We arrive through Kärnten. Together we eat “Cevapcecs” (we used up the ground beef of the whole town). Arrival at our meeting place. Some little disagreements, a crack in somebody’s knee and then 15 percent of the MC´s couldn’t leave the meeting on their own. In the old days we just had to stay out of South Tyrol but now we even should stay out of Slovenia. We have to take care that our group doesn’t get limited geography too much.

Kart

Is also a definite thing we do, and there we were fighting already big tournaments against the other Salzburg MC´s. We have to notice the special talented Schurli, who did the whole race (10 rounds) with closed eyes. Maybe a promising young talent!

Ski event

Winter sports is an important part at our group. 2003 we had the destination the inn “Schnaps Hans” on the mountain “Schmittenhöhe”. 2 days half board and a ski pass. Unforgettable how our president was skiing down into the valley on the one meter carving ski’s. Always after 4 meters had to be a turn that we could keep the dangerous speed limit under 10 km/h. Thanks to god there was no wind from the valley, otherwise this would have been a dangerous obstacle on the ski slope.This were parts and highlights of the last 5 years. We also visited lots of motorcycle meetings, fall parties, Hippy parties, carnival parties, bad guy’s meetings, rock concerts, clubhouse parties and so on in and outside the country.
